When you run for Mayor,
you should answer the tough questions
But Clifford Whitby refuses
Clifford Whitby won’t answer questions about the current GBI investigation into the bogus billing scandal at the Industrial Authority involving millions in payments authorized by Whitby to companies tied to him for work that was NEVER done.
And, Whitby has refused to answer more than 100 questions, under oath, about his role in the Whitby-Dallemand bribery scandal that cost the school district more than $10 million dollars.

Voters have a right to know.
Here are just a few of the questions Clifford Whitby won't answer:
- Have you ever pleaded guilty and been sentenced for a crime?
- Do you have a financial interest in any of the three companies currently under GBI investigation for theft, forgery, and false statements?
- Were you recorded on FBI surveillance delivering a brown paper bag filled with $24,000 in cash to former Bibb Superintendent and convicted felon, Romain Dallemand?
- Did you offer a bribe of $100,000 per year to Romain Dallemand for his support of the Promise Neighborhood project?
- When you were chair and executive director of the Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority, did you authorize payments to companies owned by you and/or your family members?
